Cervical cancer screening
Cervical smear tests are a quick and simple way to detect early abnormalities in the cells in a woman’s cervix. By detecting changes in cells early, a cervical smear can be the first step in diagnosing and treating cervical cancer. Early detection and treatment may prevent 75% of cancers developing.
The majority of abnormal smears are caused by a virus known as human papilloma virus (HPV). This virus infects 80% of the population by the age of 50 years. It is possible to test for this virus and this is best done alongside your smear.
In our Clinic, we are able to perform cervical smear and HPV testing as well. Book a private smear test with us to avoid waiting lists and get fast results.

Gynecologic infections
Vaginitis refers to any inflammation of the vagina. Inflammation may be infectious or noninfectious. It's common in women of all ages. One-third of women have at least one form of vaginitis at some time during their lives.
Bacteria, yeast, viruses, chemicals in creams or sprays, and even clothing can cause vaginitis. Sometimes, it occurs from organisms that are passed between sexual partners. Also, a number of different factors can affect the health of your vagina. These include your overall health, your personal hygiene, medicines, hormones (particularly estrogen), and the health of your sexual partner. Changes in any of these factors can trigger vaginitis. Do not hesitate to book an appointment in our Clinic if you have such problems.

Intrauterine device (IUD)
An IUD is a tiny device that’s put into your uterus to prevent pregnancy. It’s long-tem, reversible, and one of the most effective birth control methods out there. IUSs are divided into 2 types: copper IUDs and hormonal IUDs. Both copper and hormonal IUDs prevent pregnancy by changing the way sperm cells move so they can’t get to an egg, so pregnancy can’t happen. The hormone in IUD is effective against heavy menstrual bleeding as well. In our Clinic consultation, insertion and removal is possible.

Menstruation disorders
Women are more likely to notice symptoms of a bleeding disorder because of their menstrual period. Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding, can be a sign of a bleeding disorder.
Menorrhagia is menstrual bleeding that lasts for more than 7 days or when menstrual bleeding is heavy. Heavy bleeding is when a tampon or pad needs to be changed after less than 2 hours or if there are clots the size of a quarter or larger.
If you think your menstrual period might be heavy you should talk to your doctor about it. Heavy bleeding can cause you to feel tired or weak from anemia and can lead to other preventable health problems. If menorrhagia is left untreated, it could lead to more serious but potentially avoidable medical procedures, such as a hysterectomy (a surgery to remove a woman’s uterus or womb).
After menopause, vaginal bleeding can be a sign of cancer. In our Clinic, it is possible to take sample in a painless way, without anesthesia.

Infertility testing
Fertility for women relies on the ovaries releasing healthy eggs. Her reproductive tract must allow an egg to pass into her fallopian tubes and join with sperm for fertilization. The fertilized egg must travel to the uterus and implant in the lining. Tests for female infertility attempt to determine whether any of these processes are impaired.
You may have a general physical exam, including a regular gynecological exam. Specific fertility tests may include: ovulation testing (A blood test measures hormone levels to determine whether you're ovulating), ovarian reserve testing (This testing helps determine the quality and quantity of the eggs available for ovulation. This approach often begins with hormone testing early in the menstrual cycle.), imaging tests (Pelvic ultrasound looks for uterine or fallopian tube disease). Sometimes hysteroscopy (to visualize the uterine cavity) or laparoscopy (to visualize the abdominal cavity) is also necessary. All of the examinations are available in our Clinic.

Endometriosis testing
Endometriosis is a disease that affects women and their reproductive system. It occurs when the tissue that normally lines inside the uterus, the endometrium, grows outside the uterus. The damaged tissue is usually known as endometriosis patches, implants, nodules or lesions and it is found in the pelvic cavity, including on or under the ovaries, on the fallopian tubes, which carry egg cells from the ovaries to the uterus, behind the uterus, on the tissues that hold the uterus in place, on the bowels or bladder.
The main symptoms of endometriosis are pain, and infertility, but patients can also experience painful, even debilitating, menstrual cramps, pain during or after sex, pain in the intestine or lower abdomen, painful bowel movements or painful urination during menstrual periods, heavy menstrual periods, premenstrual spotting or bleeding between periods, painful bladder syndrome, digestive or gastrointestinal symptoms similar to a bowel disorder, fatigue, tiredness, and lack of energy. It is important to know, to avoid unnecessary medical treatment, that there is no cure for endometriosis, but early diagnosis may improve the treatment of the disease.
Laparoscopy is currently the only method to confirm and cure endometriosis. During a laparoscopy, we observe the abdomen for signs of endometriosis. The laparoscopy provides information on the location, extent and size of the lesions to define a more appropriate treatment plan. In some cases, we may remove a sample of tissue to analyze in a biopsy as well.

Myoma (uterine fibroids)
Myomas are frequently found incidentally during a routine pelvic exam. Your doctor may feel irregularities in the shape of your uterus, suggesting the presence of fibroids.
It can cause abdominal pain and irregular heavy bleeding, depends on the location of the myoma. If myoma is suspected and confirmation is needed, we perform vaginal ultrasound. It uses sound waves to get a picture of your uterus to confirm the diagnosis and to map and measure fibroids.
Treatment of the myoma is basically surgery and removal. Depends on the location, laparoscopic (in a myomectomy, we remove the fibroids, leaving the uterus in place, and fibroids can be removed through those same small incisions by breaking them into smaller pieces), and hysteroscopic (this procedure may be an option if the fibroids are contained inside the uterus (submucosal), we access and remove fibroids using instruments inserted through the vagina and cervix into the uterus)
removal is also possible.
Medical treatment is also available for those patients who do not want to have or not fit for surgery.

Vaginal Tightening
Over time, especially after childbirth, vaginal tissue can overstretch, creating a feeling of looseness (laxity) and reduced sensitivity in the vaginal area. This can lead to decreased satisfaction during sexual intercourse, creating a significant quality of life issue. FemiLift tones and rebuilds the collagen of the vaginal walls, enhances the sensitivity of the vaginal receptors and contracts existing vaginal tissue, increasing vaginal tightness and improving sexual satisfaction.

Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)
SUI is a term that describes involuntary leakage of urine during activities that increase pressure in the abdomen such as coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercise. This condition is caused by a loss of strength in the urethra due to a weakened pelvic support structure. FemiLift treats the entire area, supporting the urethra, increasing the thickness of the vaginal walls and strengthening the pelvic support structure. The treatment reduces the symptoms of SUI and effectively restores urinary continence.

Vaginal Dryness & Recurring Infections
FemiLift helps women suffering from dryness and recurring vaginal infections by rejuvenating the vaginal lining and restoring lubrication. The treatment increases the immune system response of the vaginal area, generates new healthy tissue with higher immune resistance to infections and allows the vagina to naturally maintain normal PH levels.
Like skin, vaginal tissue is made up of collagen fibers which gives it strength and flexibility. FeliLift uses breakthrough CO2 laser technology to gently heat vaginal tissue, contracting existing fibers and stimulating the formation of new collagen. FemiLift treatment improves the functionality of the entire vaginal area by normalizing blood flow, increasing lubrication, boosting immune system and restoring elasticity of the vaginal wall.
